New Smyrna Beach is located at the mouth of the Ponce de Leon Inlet and allows access to the Indian River Intracoastal Waterway with great fishing and boating in the redfish capital of the world. There are 13 miles of Atlantic Coast beach known as the "World�s Safest Bathing Beach." The 57,000-acre Canaveral National Seashore park is just south allowing amazing views of NASA launches and exciting adventures in a natural setting. Smyrna Dunes Park offers a 1.5 mile boardwalk loop around the Inlet area. New Smyrna offers some of the best surfing in the area. Flagler Ave, a seaside beach street, is lined with quaint boutiques, surf shops and restaurants. Historic downtown Canal Street is an antique lovers dream with rows of shops and old town charm.
Edgewater is located alongside the Indian River, just south of New Smyrna Beach and at the north end of the renowned Mosquito Lagoon.This provides great fishing and boating near the redfish capital of the world.
